This is the ancient land in which men and gods lived together. Beaches of the Nebrodi are washed by the Eolo's sea. The god of the winds gave the son Agatirno these beaches when he divided up his marine empire among his already grown up six sons. Homer says it happened when Ulysses, guest in Eolo's court, received from his host the winds leather bag as an help to go on his travel.
And let us mention the mountains of this coast which in a little distance arrive to the Soro Mountain 18747 m. Nowadays they are covered by the same pastures and woods once dwelling of Artemide, the Goddess of hunt, nymphs, satyrs and bucolic poets. According to the myth, Dafni was born in a laurel grove of these mountains. He was brought up by the whole nymphs community and become a shepherd. Naturally gifted, he was the beginner of the bucolic poem.
While the north side of the Nebrodi overlooks the Eolo's sea, the south one is marked by the Etna Mountain. This is an imposing presence, a marvel of nature, melting pot of many elements, dwelling of gods and titans, sort of infernal Olympus.
There is a village at the foot of the volcano named Bronte, like the tytan-cyclop son of Urano and Gela. An other one is Adrano whose name derives from the blacksmith god of Siculi, the Greek Efesto, who had his forge in the volcano.

THE LITERARY PARK
.
.
The sequence of different rules taken place during the past centuries left a rich cultural contamination. Such syncretism is especially revealed in the holy celebrations. In fact, the fundamentals of pagan religions related to the nature seasons lived together with the Christian traditions. The celebration of the Muzzuni rite and the Jewish one are only two remarkable examples.
.
.
Villa Piccolo, a notable country house surrounded by a luxury citrus plantation, was inhabited by Giuseppe Tommasi di Lampedusa and his relatives. For this reason, it is said the dwelling of the last Gattopardi and the literary resonance of its ancient owners joins the pleasantness of the surroundings. The sensitivity of Lucio, the poet, the esoterism of Casimiro, the painter, and the botanical ability of Agata, the brothers surnamed Piccolo and cousins on mother's side of Tommasi di Lampedusa, left visible signs
